More attractive and inclusive education for all generations

E4All LogoThe Erasmus+ project E4All – More Attractive and Inclusive Education for All Generations focused on the development of innovative Inclusive Intergenerational Adult Education approaches for diverse learner groups across Europe. Implemented as an Exchange of Good Practices project under Erasmus+, the initiative aimed to support adult educators, trainers, and civil society organisations in designing, delivering, and promoting more attractive, inclusive, and intergenerational learning opportunities for adults of all ages and social backgrounds.

The project addressed current challenges in adult education related to inclusion, lifelong learning, social participation, and intergenerational cooperation. By bringing together organisations with expertise in language learning, intercultural education, digital learning, creativity, environmental awareness, and intergenerational methodologies, the consortium worked collaboratively to exchange experiences and develop practical recommendations for inclusive adult education practices.

The consortium consisted of partners from Poland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Lithuania, and Austria. The project was coordinated by the Fundacja Alternatywnych Inicjatyw Edukacyjnych (Poland). Additional partners included Associazione Culturale EduVita E.T.S. (Italy), Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Madrid-Villaverde (Spain), Challedu (Greece), Ecological Future Education (Lithuania), and EBI/EIE (Austria). Together, the organisations represented a broad spectrum of expertise in lifelong learning, intercultural education, digital competences, youth work, language learning, inclusion, and sustainable development.

The work programme was organised into multiple work packages and implementation phases, including transnational meetings, collaborative exchange activities, international staff training events, evaluation procedures, and dissemination activities. The project particularly emphasised the exchange of innovative and practical approaches for intergenerational learning, inclusive participation, and learner-centred adult education methodologies.

Within the framework of the project, Peter Mazohl contributed substantially to the pedagogical exchange activities by introducing and presenting innovative Flipped Learning 3.0 approaches adapted for adult education contexts (A summary is available from the EBI webpage). He prepared methodological concepts demonstrating how learner-centred and technology-supported approaches can improve participation, motivation, and active involvement in adult learning processes. In addition, he introduced the topic of critical thinking and presented practical approaches for implementing and applying critical thinking methodologies within adult education and lifelong learning environments. His contributions focused on enabling educators to foster reflective, analytical, and self-directed learning competences among adult learners.

A central outcome of the project was the development of recommendations for more inclusive intergenerational adult education. These recommendations supported educators and organisations in creating accessible and motivating learning environments for adults from different generations, social backgrounds, and educational experiences. The project also contributed to strengthening cooperation between civil society organisations and educational institutions across Europe.

The dissemination activities of the project aimed to reach a broad European audience of educators, organisations, stakeholders, and decision-makers involved in adult education and lifelong learning. Through its exchange-oriented methodology and practical focus, the project contributed to the development of inclusive, socially responsive, and community-based adult education practices in Europe.
